A new & unique opportunity to deepen your understanding of the Grief Recovery Method - this one day training will take place at GRHQ* with Ed Owens,

Ed’s journey to the Grief Recovery Institute ® began after the devastating loss of his 3 year old son, Eddie Ryan, in 2010. After struggling for years with the conflicting feelings and emotions surrounding his son’s death, Ed found the tools needed to begin his recovery using the Grief Recovery Method ® and this helped him heal his broken heart.  Ed currently is the Director of Advanced GRM Programs,

 

For over 20 years he’s been an instructor, trainer and facilitator teaching a wide range of topics at the State, Federal and International levels. He also has experience working with at-risk foster children as a behavioral specialist as well as coaching and mentoring youth in our schools. Ed is also an internationally renowned advocate for children’s safety. Ed’s career includes over 23 years of military and law enforcement experience.

 

During his career he deployed in combat zones several times; his last deployment was as a First Sergeant to Iraq in 2006. As an International Instructor and Speaker, Ed has presented on the Evolution of Grief in the Military and the impact on serving members, their families, and veteran communities.  As a law enforcement officer for over 20 years, Ed has worked in agencies at the city, county, State and Federal levels. He held positions ranging from patrolman to detective to chief executive officer and command level positions for agencies. This also includes positions working with Homeland Security as an undercover intelligence detective focusing on areas of domestic and international terrorism, organized crime, and organized crime. He has worked to with multiple agencies to help bring the Grief Recovery Method to emergency services and their families. Ed has a profound passion for helping grievers, including those who are our military service members, law enforcement, and their families.

The focus for the day will be the 1-1 programme with insight on working with services /ex-services police/fire/ambulance and other first responders.
